Private Training Sessions & One to One Obedience
Dogs of all ages benefit from reward based training. Trained puppies grow into better behaved adults, and adult dogs love the interaction that comes with positive training. Older dogs love learning too, and all benefit from positive training methods. Effective use of reward based training improves communication, increases focus and develops cooperation.

If you have very specific training goals, like a more reliable recall or calmer lead walking, the private training sessions service would be perfect. Alternatively, if you're looking to train the typical range of basic obedience behaviours (see below), the one to one obedience course would be ideal. Training sessions and obedience courses are carried out in home visits, with some training in public places if that's beneficial for you and your dog. Dog training services are available in Southampton, Eastleigh, Romsey, Winchester, Fareham, Whiteley and localities.

Private Training Sessions

Private training sessions are perfect for working on specific training areas, like calm lead walking or enthusiastic recall. The training sessions are carried out in home visits, which gives the opportunity to train in your dog's home environment and out in the real-world if beneficial. As well as working on your target training goals, you'll learn to increase your dog's focus and be given help fine-tuning exactly how you use the training to get your dog behaving well. As your dog is the sole focus of training, sessions are tailored specifically to their needs and your goals.

You'll begin with an assessment session (2 hrs), during which your goals will be discussed and your dog's behaviour, motivations and current training level will be assessed. You'll get started on the first steps of their training and be given advice sheets and training guides. You'll also receive inclusive email support. Depending on what you're looking to achieve, you'll then benefit from a number of follow-on training sessions, usually spaced 1-2 weeks apart, to coach you and your dog through all of the training.

One to One Basic Obedience Course (Adult Dogs)
|
The basic obedience course is designed for adult dogs (over 8 months), and is delivered over 4 sessions (1.5 hrs each), usually 1-2 weeks apart. The course is a private, one to one course and is carried out in home visits. Because your dog is the sole focus of the sessions, training progresses at their ideal pace, so they won’t get left behind if they’re struggling, or bored if they’re excelling.
You’ll receive training guides and advice sheets that'll increase your training success, and when you complete the course, your dog will receive a certificate of achievement to mark your success. |

Adult Dog Obedience Course - £220
You're very welcome to have a second dog take part in the course, but as this increases the session time, a course with two or more canine attendees is charged at the slightly higher rate of £275.
If you wish to book additional sessions following on from the course these will be charged at £55 each.
